ABOUT ME

I'm a German student of European Studies and I live in Aberdeen in beautiful but cold Scotland. When I worked as an au pair I got to travel quite a lot with my hostfamily and it was then that I feel in love with France.
I am an open and friendly person, obsessed with Helena Bonham Carter and it's pretty easy to make me laugh.
I'm very chatty in smaller groups but tend to be more quiet in bigger groups. I like being out and about a lot but every now and then I need time to myself. I'm also a great supporter of the odd afternoon nap :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only recently started to couchsurf and have enjoyed each stay very much. I think it's an amazing way of travelling and great for meeting likeminded people.

Interests

Galleries and museums. I like going for extensive walks. Food in general, cheese and chocolate in particular. good coffee and interesting stories. Reading, when I have the peace and quiet to do so. Dancing. Observing people. Wwoofing, though this is a rather new interest of mine. I like doing things myself. Feminism.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lost in Translation, Lolita, Harold and Maud, Annie Hall and everything with Helena Bonham Carter or Ewan McGregor in it. Disney films.

Right now I'm particularly into stuff I can dance to, like 80s pop and 90s R'n'B. I believe in self help through disco :)
Big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and House of Cards.
My favourite book is 'a little history of the world' by Ernst Gombrich because his writing makes me feel like my grandfather is reading the book to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Abbey Royaumont. Swimming with the stream of the Dordogne. Dancing at midnight at the beach of Aberdeen with wind blowing us off our feet.
