ABOUT ME
(This profile is under reconstruction)
I have been a member of CS since 2005 but have not been active for the past few years.
We live on Montmartre in a very small place but can consider hosting you.
PHILOSOPHY
Why travel? Well, there is a Chinese saying that "a familiar view is not a landscape".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been absent for a while. But I think we've hosted more than 200 people since 2005.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I actually started doing this back in the 1980s with my snail mail penpals - imagine organizing it all without the internet and mobile phones!

Music, Movies, and Books
This could be endless and then you wouldn't read it, so here's just 3 and then I'll change them from time to time:
Music: Rita Payés, "Vaca y pollo"
Movies:Fernando León de Aranoa, "El buen patrón"
Books: Lawrence Durrell, "Prospero's Cell"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
CS can bring you to places that you never really thought of visiting before, where you end up doing things such as spending a day teaching English in a Chinese village, eating sannakchi with your hosts in Korea or entering a Druze prayer house.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation over a meal (prepared by myself if you are interested).
I don't send requests asking only for a place to sleep, promising not to bother you because I have my own plans totally independent of you.
Neither ignore your host nor overly depend on them. Ask yourself what would make them receive you in their home (and why it beats Airbnb!).
