My name is Mairi and I am a 23 year old student from Scotland.

I am currently studying to become a school teacher.

I have a passion for travelling and love to learn all about local cultures. Currently learning to speak Spanish and am hoping to travel to South America in the future.

Have spent a few summers volunteering in India and Africa and am planning my next trip to Bali this summer.

I have never couch surfed before so this would be my first experience but I am looking forward to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience I've had to date was volunteering in India for a month. I worked in a boys orphanage and it was so amazing to build up relationships with them and learn some Hindi. While in India I also had the opportunity to do some travelling and my favourite place was, of course, the Taj Mahal!
