I'm a person who never stay in place... Always moving (for study, work or pleasure !) I love to meet new people and learn about others culture, try new food, listen new music... I'm really curious and always ask a lot of questions !! I love outdoor activities and always try to combine it with my trips around the world...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I host few persons in Québec city, Rimouski, Hay River and Whitehorse. It was very interesting and funny experiences. I feel as if I was travelling just staying at home !! Really nice !!

I couchsurfed in Boston and it's was AMAZING, especially with the best hosts in town !! Thanks Mike, Erin, Tricia and Eli !!

I couchsurfed with Dewi and Coco in Carcassone (France) and Alessandro in Torino (Italia).

I couchsurfed with Jeff in Thunder Bay (Ontario), Gina in Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) and Luke in Edmonton (Alberta).

I couchsurfed also in Alaska with Nicholle, Jen, Matthew, Clayton and Yin, in Uruguay with Alvaro, in Malaysia with Lincoln and Singapore with Donovan. I meet fellow couchsurfing hosts in Cuba as well.

Interests

travel, travel and travel of course !!

In general, I love: analyze during hours and hours maps, eating sushi, jumping in sand dune, looking shooting stars or borealis aurora, going on a road trip with friends, relaxing in hammock, enjoying a bag full of candies ;o), going on an island close to my hometown in Rimouski when it's low tide (in the mud !!), playing with dog and my cat, taking a walk after a snowstorm, the first smell when you enter a bakery, all kind of cheese, receive/send postcard from all around the world, the bald eagle sound, renovate old wood furniture, sleep on a boat that never stop moving all the night long, drinking bubble tea in every chinnatown, etc...

sports: sailing, mountain hiking, scuba diving, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, paragliding, canyoning, camping (in summer and winter), roller blade, hockey, swimming, bike and many other sports...

other: listening and playing music (piano), being in nature, science, culture, history, art and photography !!

Music, Movies, and Books

I need to listen and play music like I need air to breathe ! Music take a lot of place in my life... Always listening music when I work on my computer, when I cook, when I drive my car, when I study, when I eat, etc !! I need it everywhere, at anytime !! So please, let me know if my music (or me when I'm singing, especially if I'm in a car... hehehe) is annoying you ! ;o) And, if you plan to meet me, BRING YOUR MUSIC !!!! I love to discover new music...
(I'm also able to appreciation silence... don't worry !)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- See the eruption of the volcano Piton de la Fournaise and stand at 5 m from the new (and really hot !!) lava (île de la Réunion)

- Canyoning in the 7 waterfalls of Fleur-jaune and paragliding in the same week-end ;o) Memorable ! (île de la Réunion)

- Watching the 'Walk on fire'... It's a indian ceremony where people walk on embers... (Really impressive moment...) (île de la Réunion)

- The Baobab's alley (incredible !)(Madagascar)

- A 4 days pirogue trip with a chicken alive in the
pirogue (I named it 'cocotte minute' because we eat it on the second night...)(Madagascar)

- Watch some lemurs and microcebes (a little lemur that you can hold inside of one hand !)(Madagascar)

- Working in organic shrimp farm with Jatun Sacha organization (Ecuador)

- Titicaca lake, Machu Pichu and the Amazonas (Peru)

- Watch a superpod of killer whales (around 30 ind) (British Columbia, Canada)

- Participating to the 'Only fools run at midnight' in Juneau (I run 5 km in sandals !! haha !) (Alaska)

- Fishing the Alaska King crab, Dungeness crab, shrimp, halibut and salmon in Alaska !! (Such a good food !! ;o) (Alaska)

- Going inside Mendenhall Glacier... (I know, we're not suppose to do that...) (Alaska)

- Winter camping in the Adirondaks Park at -25 degrees with 2 feet of new powdery snow (USA)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you 'clap dancing', how to touch your nose with your tongue (!!), how to make the better salmon-goat cheese that you had ever eat, teach you summer camp Québec songs (with all the moves that go with them...), and... you are probably able to teach me more other things so that I will be able to teach other persons... And after those people will teach others and others and others !! Isn't wonderful ?!!?
