About Me

Polite notice: I don’t use this app, as Tinder that is a different platform, those who use it in that way or have certain expectations please communicate that at the start.

I have currently been on this trip since January including working on a date farm in the Sahara, with chickens, sheep and camals, as well as helping the farm develop with construction and making the mud bricks. Then to an animal refuge in Tamraght, where I worked all morning, surfed all day. A hostel in Imsouane, Yoga teaching in Chefchouen.

I spent 3 months in Morocco, took the ferry to Tarifa, hitch-hiked to Gibraltar auto-stopped around the south of Spain until Murica where I met up with my friend I had worked with in Imsouane and we traveled together on his motorbike staying in hammocks in nature each night and finding natural beauty spots to hang out during the day, next I joined my yogi friend in her hometown in the Pyrenees for her first yoga retreat, which was such a beautiful experience! I then met up with a friend, I had couchsurfed with last year in America, whilst using mine and my ex boyfriend’s account (hence my lack of references), in Bordeaux, before deciding to explore the Basque Country by auto-stop and after making my way along the south coast of France to Italy, up through south Tirol to the dolomites and to Gadersound festival then down through Slovenia to Croatia and Escape the City festival with friends and along the coast then to Bosnia, explored the beautiful Balkans. Next Turkey where I finally crossed into Asia then UAE and now Thailand!

I should also note I don’t take part in the touristy sightseeing type of travelling. I’d like to see the authentic ways of the locals and use their mode of transport or hitchhiking/auto-stop to get about this way travels can be disorganised and hard to plan, due to spontaneous nature. I hope you can be understanding as I’ll try and communicate as well as I can.

I’m a truly open interested and curious individual who is learning lots about life and herself, and currently finding this section the hardest to fill-in. I have a positive outlook on life, I try to be the one who makes good from a bad situation, it’s all about perspective. I’m enthusiastic about the little things in life and try to celebrate the smallest victories. I take great pleasure in watching sunsets, stargazing, being surrounded by nature and around water. Love being active in the outdoors, always up for a laugh. I hope to travel, experience culture and meet interesting people. I am authentically me, some people like honesty and genuine people, others struggle with that. I don’t take life too seriously I’m here for a good time not a long time! I want to have fun and make some memories, message me if you’re in!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from all walks of life and to exchange our ideas and passions of this beautiful crazy life. I love to experience other lifestyles and learn life lessons, or am inspired to better myself. There are people we have to meet in our lives, just to wake up. These awakeners are agents of change to awaken our inner potential and also to remind us who we really are. And then I traveled quite a lot in my life and many people opened their door to me, in turn I open mine and welcome.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
Wow this is so broad for me I don’t know where to start! I can go from listening to reggae to rock to house to pop. To list a few genres : Indie, Chill, Rock, Deep house, Alternative, Reggae, Britpop, House, Ibiza, Classical, Angst, Modern rock and apparently Happy is a music genre?
Movies
Well, I no longer own a TV, but still enjoy movies with friends and at the cinema (open air is my favourite). From the top of my head, Well remembered movie for the arts story and acting, Is unlike mean because it’s a thriller and I’m not a fan of horror movies but ‘Midsommer’ was truly fantastic, along with the French movie ‘blue is the warmest colour’. I recently enjoyed ‘Jeanne du Barry’, historical drama, featuring Johnny Depp in French at the open air Cinema, on the cliffs of Villefranche Sue mer.
And then I always go back to the Cornetto series, never fail to make me laugh (Hot Fuzz, Shawn of the dead, the worlds end). I’m honestly pretty easy-going, I usually end up watching other peoples suggestions and liking them. I even watch Disney movies and Pixar productions, they can be great!
Books
I always say my favourite book is Shantaram in however the book I’m reading at the moment the goldfinch is making me doubt that statement. I also have the tattooist of Auschwitz, with me travelling and I’m really enjoying the way it’s written and the story too! I have a bookshelf full of books, but I always tend to find other things to do, whether it be going for walks, runs, hikes, picnics, socialising with friends, Climbing or catching up with international friends over FaceTime. Although nothing beats getting a roaring fire, going in the winter, and sitting in front of it, with a good book in a cup of hot tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave my hometown, childhood home, family and my familiar faces and places. In order to learn more about what life is truly about.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach
Back in England, I have taught swimming and coached triathletes. I would also like to say I could teach you a freer way of life and help people let go. As well as help people learn English for example, my host/manager in the Sahara learnt pronouns and emotions in English, I really enjoyed helping develop his English, just as I always enjoy helping others! I think if more people helped this world would be a much more beautiful place.
Learn
I’m really keen to learn about new culture, lifestyles, people, history, geography and new languages as well as better my current languages French and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but recently learnt some Spanish which I’m keen to develop! I love learning, if your passionate about something please share it with me! I don’t learn in classrooms I learn with human interaction.
Share
I hope to share my life with those who are interested in my past, my time and create new memories. Travel stories and tips. Laughter, I have many stories that still make me laugh, I hope they’ll make you laugh too! Food, I love to cook/ help others in the kitchen. Anything I have/ can spare I will, I love to share. Who knows maybe someday we will share plans/trips together?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel I already touched on this in the share section but in short- laughter, stories, fun and time. If my hosts need help with projects I’d love to lend a hand, anyway I can express my gratitude for opening your home to me.
