Overview
About Me
Used to live and work in Jakarta, now I move to Yogyakarta with my husband and start a family.
I teach at a private university here and still do my hobbies during spare time. I love to read, write (I write freelance for travel magazines) and travel. Correspondence through postcards has also been my interest (I am an active member of Postcrossing).
I embrace diversity and would love to meet more people from around the world with various cultural backgrounds. I believe that we still share the world with a lot of good people. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I knew about CS for the first time in 2010. Then in 2011 I joined it and had my first CS experience in the following year. :D
I participate in CS by hosting guests and introducing local culture.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first Couchsurfing experience was in Banda Aceh (Indonesia) in September 2012. I think CS is not just about having a place to stay when we are traveling, but also having a new family. :)
I also stayed with CS host several times during my Eurotrip back in 2013-2014. Now it's time to pay forward to other travelers.
Message: Never take anything for granted. Please contribute something positive along our journey and stay through Couchsurfing.
Interests
I like to spend time with the people I care about, as well as doing what I enjoy the most: reading, writing and traveling. I also put interests on cultural exchange, community-based tourism and globalization and development issues. Besides doing daily work at office, I do volunteering with my friends particularly on education and development area.

Music, Movies, and Books
I prefer drama to action movies. Hehe... But I also like adventurous stories. Some of my fave movies are The 'Shawshank Redemption', 'The Fall' and 'Doubt'.
As for books, I love novels and any books about traveling.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Joined Indonesia Mengajar (Indonesia Teaching Foundation), an effort from Indonesian youths to fulfill the shortage of teachers in remote areas in Indonesia. I served in Bawean Island, Gresik, East Java. I have never heard about the island before I joined the movement. Although it is a part of East Java province, it has totally different language and culture. It was great to have lived there for a year. I met wonderful and kind-hearted people from whom I learned about struggle and sincerness. I also met incredible students who inspired me a lot. Who were high-spirited despite the limitations they had.
What I Can Share with Hosts
