About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be a responsible consumer, reduce waste, help others understand the value of nature
ABOUT ME
I think I´m a person with a "positive vibe", fun to be with and also interesting to talk to. Compared to my friends back home, I am a bit of an outlier. My more recent friends tend to be more like me: interested in the world as a whole, curious about new things to learn or to experience, not very good planners and sometimes maybe a bit disorganized and absent-minded :)
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem (although not as easy as it might seem)
Never say never
Nature
The beauty of simple things.
Avoid judgements (this is my current effort...very hard!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a CS beginner, but I have the feeling that "we are meant for each other" :p So I hope to become a member that participates fully on the experience. I think that CS's philosophy is something that you love or hate...I love it. However, for now, I will be more a surfer than a hoster.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just a few, but all of them great so far. All the CSers that have hosted me so far I´ve been sad of leaving behind. They have all definitely made the difference when I think about those trips.
Interests
I love nature and anything related to it. I love hiking, skiing and scuba diving.
If I´m with the right crew, I also enjoy going out at night until sun rises. I´m usually very easy to convince if a beer is part of the plan. I like very different types of music, from salsa to some types of electronic music (I like dancing too).
I like going for a beer with a couple of friends and have a nice conversation with them. I also enjoy "how to solve the world" conversations!
I like walking in cities, "people-watch", discovering new unexpected places.
I enjoy simple things.
Reading, watching movies etc as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmmm, independent movies. I tend to forget movies or books I like since there are many of them. Amelie is definitely one of the movies. Books: Demian, Der Steppenwold (both by Herman Hesse), the Earth's Children series (Jean M. Auel)...and so many more! Music...salsa, Andean, African beats, some electronic...it really depends on the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmm, I think there are many!
The highest peak I hiked, and the whole experience and effort that it implied (it was in Mexico, Pico Orizaba).
A surprise birthday party we threw for my mum last year
An active volcano I hiked in Guatemala, where one could almost touch the flowing lava...
Nights in the desert.
