About Me
Finally able to host again! Yay!
I describe myself as ''happily married'' because I am happier now that I haven't had any contact with my husband in three years. I would file for divorce, but I am broke and the government doesn't provide Afterpay.
I live in a modern 1 bedroom apartment with a very cute Toy Poodle puppy named Lucy.
Lucy LOVES people, has lots of energy and will never tire from having you throw a toy for her to fetch. She loves to be told she is a good girl and given treats, which is something I can relate to.
I have been with my partner Matt for a few years now. Officially he doesn't live with me, however most of his clothes, toothbrush and his favourite pillow have moved in. Matt and I have a very interesting hobby where we enjoy digging-up bull ant colonies that would otherwise be destroyed. We collect each ant with tweezers and sell the colonies to ant-keepers (check out Hunter Valley Ants on Youtube).
I am an amateur stand-up comedian. I once was asked ''where would you like comedy to take you?" and I replied "the pub". I perform mostly for free at open-mics and typically only book gigs that pay me in half-priced meals. But I have a lot of fun and enjoy making others laugh with my dark and dirty sense of humour.
I am happy for guests to join me when I go out to do things eg dinner with friends, the comedy club, dog walks, etc. I enjoy showing people local sights and attractions, which takes about 10 minutes because Maitland has more crime scenes than exciting events. I have been known to take guests to the beaches in Newcastle, sightseeing in Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie. There are vineyards about 30 minutes from here. I was taught how to hitchhike by a couchsurfing guest while took ourselves on a wine, cheese and olive tasting tour. However, if you want to venture out on your own, that is fine too.
I'm and LGBTQ+ friendly host.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy engaging with people from different cultures and entertaining guests. I will never say ''no'' to an offer to cook dinner!
I hope to travel in the next few years (when I stop being super poor) and I see the benefits of developing a good Couchsurfing reputation.
