About Me
Please remember I AM NOT in the city center in spite of a good connection to it by public transport (30min), but it is adviced to be organised after 9PM (I give you all information about this in a document).
My place is very suitable for those travelling by car with easy and free parking.
First text in English, version française voir en fin de page
I define my self as a slow traveller (and indeed I walked from my home to Compostella in 2010).
About myself, I am a reliable and quiet person, autonomous and open minded (I have my faith too).
I need and appreciate physical work, the very reason why I never succeeded as a bureaucrat!
I sing gregorian hours at least two times a day in my local romanic church, whose acoustics is fabulous.
I have to express that I am getting tired about "woke" and "cancel culture", a proud ignorance and a betrayal of the truth, historically speaking but not only.
In the last years, the numbers of travellers - although nice sometimes but always unexperienced - sincerely beleaving in this ideology, is increasing, and I use to hear the same bullshit in the mouth of different people, knowing exactly in advance what they will say.
So in these conditions, the disturbance about introducing an unknown person at home, which is time-consuming, appears to overcome the pleasure of the visit. But if you are a good will person, open to discuss and listening what you are told about, you are welcome. Thank-you very much for understanding this.
__________________________
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My place is quite full, so i cannot garantee I will host you, but I respond any request I receive.
I suscribed to CS in january 2009. Before that time, I was a member of Servas, a society of travellers that was created in 1947 by people wanting to promote peace after second world war. It was before the internet ; one had to rent the "host list" of the country one was travelling in, a printed booklet you were supposed to return once back at home.
