I have only had good experiences so I always recommend my friends to try it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot couches in Central- and Southamerica! Amazing experience, It was a geat way to get to know people and their culture.
I haven't had a coucsurfer staying on my couch yet, but hopefully one day it will happen.
