Overview
About Me
I completed a PhD in Engineering in Melbourne Australia related to solar energy but I was always more interested in working in developing countries. I was involved with energy access and solar programs and with organisations like Engineers Without Borders. After I finished my PhD I worked for one year on projects in Africa for a German solar home systems company. Now my contract is finshed and I am moving back to Australia but I have three months off during summer. My boyfriend Mauro (Swiss) and I are planning a climbing road trip through the Balkans since we are both into rock climbinging, adventures and traveling. I was born in Sarajevo but grew up in Australia and am really excited to explore a different side of Europe

Music, Movies, and Books
We both love reading books and take our kindles everywhere we go. Some particularly good authors I've recently discovered are: Ryszard Kapuscinski who writes amazing travel books, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, William Dalrymple, Bill Bryson, Theodore Dalrymple, Arundathi Roy etc. I love reading about travel, mountaineering, science and good fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Installed solar systems in a refugee camp in Uganda.
