Hi I'm Maja :)
I graduated this year from the University of Birmingham in English with Creative Writing so am a big lover of story telling, especially hearing those of others. This I find goes hand in hand with travelling which is another one of my favourite things, as it's an amazing opportunity to meet people from different walks of life, experience rich cultures, languages and traditions. I'm also a huge art lover, whether it be creating or visiting galleries or museums and am always keen to learn new creative skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I am trying to figure out what kind of career path I'd like to go down, so I'm doing a work placement with the Vegan Society in Birmingham, as working in animal charities is a career I'm interested in maybe pursuing, animals being one of my biggest passions. Due to the work placement I need a place to stay for two weeks and would love to stay with open minded, hospitable and friendly people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The Help is one of my favourite movies.
My favourite book is probably NW or White Teeth by Zadie Smith or Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.
Favourite music is a bit of everything really, from indie to rock, but I'm currently really into classic rock and roll and rhythm and blues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteer with a charity that builds playgrounds for disadvantaged schools in Uganda, this year in June.

I love learning new skills, so will always be keen to listen and watch if you have a hobby or craft you can teach me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to make art, so will be happy to share my skills in drawing, painting and collage-ing if you like?
I also know the Polish language so would be able to start you off with the basics :)
