ABOUT ME

Hi!
My name is Maja, currently living in Uppsala where I'm studying a masters in cultural anthropology. Besides my studies, I like to cook (vegetarian or vegan food), read, go to the movies, hang out with friends for beers or food or games. I also sing in one of Uppsala's nation choirs, which probably is what takes up most of my time besides my studies.

I like to travel and meet new people; my favorite things to do when traveling is trying new foods and walking around trying to get a sense of the town or city I'm in.

I'm living in a three room apartment with my sister, not too far away from the city center, close to campus Engelska parken.

Come couch on my floor! I have a spare mattress on which you can make yourself comfortable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For me couchsurfing is a great way to meet interesting and fun people - people you otherwise wouldn't have met. It also gives a chance to learn more about the culture and country you're in. I have nothing bad to say about any of my couchsurfing experiences so far. I have enjoyed every meeting with all the different kinds of people I've met.

Interests

I would say I am a pretty artistic person. I like art, photography, reading, painting, knitting, music - I play the guitar, ukulele, and the cello, and I like to sing. I like coffee and wine, my favorite foods are sushi and lasagna, I want to learn French. The list of what I like to do is long, but I would say a enjoy doing almost anything in the company of others, may it be football, hiking or just having dinner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Manhattan for 10 months, an intense but also fun year. I haven't really done anything extraordinary yet. All travels has had a special imprint on me.

If you're interested in Uppsala's nations, I can give you a tour. But to be honest, my schedule is pretty tight and I'm afraid I can't promise to social host. However, my apartment is big and I'm happy to share it with you!
