We have been receiving guest and couchsurfing ourselves a little for years: first in Iquique, Chile - where we lived for 6 years and now in Casablanca, Morocco.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been in couchsurfing since April 2010. Not really convinced at first, thinking the idea a little too hippy, we've been wholehearted hosts and occasional surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've met very many people through Couch. Sometimes people that we wouldn't be naturally attracted to (we're pretty open-minded and tolerant). Despite differences however, (and I say it without irony), all the experiences have been positive. We've had great conversations, learnt about subjects we know nothing of (e.g. surfing) and on certain occasions met people who seem like old mates or just the nicest people in the world and you don't want them to leave. That's why we're still in it.

Intereses

Dancing tango, trekking and camping, listening to the BBC, sitting on the beach (possibly with a beer), a bit of yoga (but without much of the spiritual bit, to be honest), eating barbecued meat, cooking hot curries and other dishes for our friends/hosts/guests...

Algo increíble que he hecho

Dom: was followed by a goat in Turkey (it recognised its own).
Maja: repeatedly manages to get flea-bites off the shaggy street dogs she strokes.
