My name is Anja,
I'm from Austria, based in Linz. I studied fine arts (sculpture) and art and culture studies.
I also work a lot with photography and my main interest is in analog photography, so I also love spending time in the darkroom!
After finishing my diploma in 2020 I started new studes: italian and new media art (for becoming a teacher in secondary schools). I'm 29 years old and beside my studies I work in a bar in a wonderful arthouse cinema. I love traveling and if I have time and money, I take my backpack and leave home, sometimes for just a few days, sometimes for a month or two. I love meeting and knowing new people and sharing travel experiences!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great chance to get in touch with new people from all over the world, because sometimes when you travel a lot, especially alone, there are some moments in which you are very happy to meet a person who is at home in the place. It's amazing, because it let you dive directly into the local life and into a new culture!
Exchange, share, learn from each other and show each other new things are wonderful experiences that I have already had through Couchsurfing! I look forward to getting in touch with many more interesting people during my future trips!

What I Can Share with Hosts

It goes without saying that one does not simply come as a guest to acquire a place to sleep!
But, my interest is primarily to participate in the life of the other in some form, a nice exchange means for me "share": This can be simply a substantively interesting conversation, a joint dinner, or even a joint onward travel...
I am open and I look where the journey takes me ;) ...
