I want to see as much of Europe as humanly possible while completing my MA in creative writing at Oxford Brookes, England!

ABOUT ME

I’m a recent West Virginia University alumni with a BA in English concentrating in Creative Writing and am currently attending Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England, pursuing my MA in Creative Writing. I did Color Guard for eight years through both my schools and independent groups, was president of the English Honor Society at WVU and was a member of concert bands and chorales. I love to read, write, take pictures, play dress up, travel and go to the movies. I’m a well rounded nerd who enjoys movie soundtracks, graveyards and the smell of old books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS and have never actually done it before, but I am interested in beginning to couch surf and meeting new people. I do not currently have a couch open myself, my flat is super small and I live with 4 other people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None! No experience, but I can't wait to get out there and give it a try.

Interests

WRITING, reading, traveling, taking pictures, movies, classic rock, making collage and other random craft projects, children and young adult literature, Star Wars, fairy tales and new places.

Movies: Star Wars (first true love), A Life Less Ordinary, Lord of the Rings, Cyrano De Bergerac (French version with Gerard Depardieu), Singing in the Rain, Indiana Jones, Beyond the Sea, Quills, Romeo + Juliet and a million others.
Books: Lord of the Rings, Cyrano De Bergerac (see and patterns here?), Harry Potter, Catch 22, Peter Pan, To Kill a Mockingbird, His Dark Materials trilogy, M is for Magic, The Princess Bride, and anything by Ray Bradburry, Oscar Wilde, Raymond Carver, Truman Capote, Tolkien and Neil Gaiman.
Music: The Beatles, Dada, David Bowie, Queen, Bobby Darin, lots of classical, movie soundtracks. Basically everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a puppetry class my senior year of college. That's not really amazing, but it's sort of funny, so it's going to have to do until I think of something better.
