About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become an English teacher in Japan

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Holon, Israel. I've graduated from Tel-Aviv University where I have studied 'General History' + 'East Asia Studies' including the Japanese language. I planned to continue my M.A. but after I came to Japan I just didn't wanna leave.
I spend my time traveling in Japan, currently live in Arakawa-ku, Tokyo.
I used to be quite active in various sport activities but now my only exercise is to cycle from one place to another in Tokyo and the nearby prefectures. From time to time I rent a car and just pick a far away random place for a long road trip and just enjoy the drive.
Sadly, every 3 months I need to go out of Japan which is why I visited Korea 3 times by now, twice to Seoul, once to Busan.

PHILOSOPHY

"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my last trip to the US I've stayed with my mom's childhood friend and her family for a month so I don't know if I should count that as a CS experience...
I CS in my friends' apartment in Hamamatsu for several nights, was great.
Several times in Tokyo I got to CS with Japanese & Korean friends... Once in Osaka...

It was a great experience, working/teaching/playing with kids, getting to meet their families, spend time with the local elderly...
Also, I got to participate couple of times in festivals, several in Asakusa, and once in both Hagi & Shunan...
