CURRENT MISSION

I’m a writer and artist. My passion is to keep learning and becoming my true self. My desire is to teach about the law of desire at the soul level and about creating the life for the well-being of all my relatives by clearing out the beliefs that block those manifestations.

ABOUT ME

I am an 55+ couch surfer. I have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. I enjoy traveling and getting connected to people and stories in each place. Though I usually travel alone I do like to travel with someone who knows the terrain and the hidden stories. I’m looking for authentic connections, good conversations, different perspectives, expanding experiences, broader horizons, beautiful places and meeting people who want to make the world a happy place. .

PHILOSOPHY
I opted out of all religious structures after a lifetime of being very committed to religious teachings. Love is the measure of a soul not the dogma. I am enjoying this new freedom.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to read the profiles of people in far off places where I have never been. Many of the CSers feel like "my tribe" and I feel connection across the globe. I plan to include couch surfing in my travels to enlarge my understanding and increase my joy. I trust in the power of one-to-one connections. It is how the world operates, how we become our true selves, and how the world changes. I'll be recruiting others to join.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with 3 wise women in 2010. On my first cross country trip from east to west coasts, I stayed in hotels. It was a long, lonely-- though beautiful-- trip. On the return trip, I stayed with CS members and the difference was huge. As I drove I had so much to reflect about from our conversations. I was encouraged to perhaps travel the world via CSing, even though I am 70. Through CS I have expanded my understanding of world peace via one by one heart to heart, as I have through Women of Wisdom in Seattle, Gather the Women on the US west coast, and in Grandmothers' Circle and Peer Spirit Circles. I like to leave a positive contribution wherever I visit knowing all parties are responsible for their own happiness. I enjoy and trust the process of deep listening. The 3 women I stayed with have awesome self confidence. Quite a wonderful thing for a former suburban housewife!

Interesses

My interests include deep listening, singing, arting, writing, poetry, teaching,being a teacher of the soul based law of desire. I love movies that uplift without being sappy or maudlin. I love being in spaces where spirits are nourished. I am free of religious institutions.

movies: anything by Nancy Myers; the Family Stone; Austin and Shakespeare stories; period pieces like the Barchester Chronicles. I loved the books of Narnia but Hollywood left out the spiritual bits.

I bought a Ford F350 diesel truck with a Lance camper and traveled for 2 years till I found a property in the Arkansas Ozarks. I lived there for 2 1/2 years during the covid thing.
