My name is Makarand M. Dhotre. You can call me Mak if the name is difficult to remember or pronounce. I graduated form an Engineering college in Electronics & Communication. I had a great interest in Animation and Video Games and that lead me to learn Animation. I have worked in the Post Production Industry for films and I have also taught for 2 years. But I was always interested in learning Fine Arts and the skills to draw. So I quit work and completed a Fine Arts diploma for 3 years. I have had 3 group exhibitions in Mumbai with well known galleries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am presently in Bandung Indonesia on a scholarship program for one Year. Looking for a place to stay. Preferably a house with other students.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Coldplay. I listen to Indian classical. I also find heavy metal interesting. Recently started listening to death and gothic metal.
Lord of The Rings is by far my favourite movie till date. Apart from that there a few good HIndi and MArathi filmd that I absolutely love. As far as books go lord of the rings of course, invisible cities, da vinci code, angels and demons, michael crichton and some more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is a little difficult to remember. The most amusing was when I got a hangover in Milan on a college trip and missed the next day's trip altogether :P.

I love talking about Arts and I can teach young students how to look at Fine Arts with a different perception. I can share whatever knowledge and experiences I have acquired over the years.things.
