ABOUT ME

I enjoy a diversity of intense experiences in my life. I can as easily be seen at: an illegal warehouse techno party, ballroom dance event, infiltrating abandoned factory, shredding down the mountain on untouched powder, at the library, at the dive bar and everything in between. I've traveled the world as a techno dj for a decade. I've founded and operated an art gallery. I've written code for battlefield robots and kiddie computer games.

PHILOSOPHY

Being old means becoming set in your ways. Conversely, staying flexible and open to learning is the way to being forever young.

Music, Movies, and Books

I first became passionate about old-school industrial/synth-pop music like Front 242 and Depeche Mode. Then I got involved in the dance scene and started going to Detroit for techno parties. Plastikman, Carl Cox, Aphex Twin are some of the artists that dominated my playlists for about a decade. About a year ago I fell in love with brassy bouncy Balkan/Roma music. It has so much in common with electronic dance music that I made it my goal to mash them together and enable American clubbers to shake their booties to it. Lately, I mostly listen to music I can ballroom dance

I can teach people how to dj dance music and how to rock climb. I actually used to teach both of them as a job while in college. These days, I'm getting pretty good at teaching dance.

As an international trouble maker and playboy, I have lots of stories. And I can tell a good story. I'm a good dance . I have an awesome music collection.
