Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Seems like a great way to meet new people and experience the world, while, learning a thing or two from the people actually living there.

Interests

My interests are all over the place, I love to try new things and pick up new hobbies. i.e. surfing, rock climbing, arts and crafts, swing and blues dancing, hiking, swimming, dancing, running, board games, and anything else outdoors

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything from classic rock, to hip hop, to classical jazz, to rap, to blues, to alternative, etc. I love to read and in fact almost read a book a day! As for movies I don't watch a lot of tv, but when I do, I love a favorite Netflix binge day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of my favorite trips was teaching English in Monterrey, Mexico for a couple of weeks over the holidays. As a lower socioeconomic city, the schools were very broken and needed many obvious repairs. However, I have never met such appreciative and loving students in my entire life. I received gifts of appreciation, appraisal from parents, and a bond with my students that I hope never goes away. To see all that they could be ungrateful for was an inspiring reminder to be thankful for what you have.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and learn. While I wouldn't consider myself a strong teacher for some things, I have a passion for sharing my knowledge and activities with others and am open to new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would consider myself to be a great cook and conversationalist and wouldn't mind sharing my skills with others.
