Hi! I'm Maki, a Japanese girl. I always love to meet new people and try new things. :) That explains why I'm on Couchsurfing! Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to travel around the world. A few years ago, I got a chance to go to America as a student. That experience made me more active and challenging even though I was shy before! I just learned meeting new people that I even hadn't imagined could change my life dramatically. :O
Now I live in the countryside of Japan working for a publisher. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the near future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Knowing different ways of living and cultures is so attractive to me because it can always tell me I still haven't found out many interesting, exciting and beautiful things in this world! :) That's why I love to travel, meet new people and try anything new as many of you here might love also.

This summer, when I hadn't know about Couchsurfing yet, I visited Korea and stayed at a guest house. It was my first experience to have a roommate (who was a stranger) while I was traveling. But we got along well so quickly and enjoyed spending a few days together after all even though we met for the first time at the guest house. That became an unforgettable memory to me.

Half a year after that, when one of my friends told me about Couchsurfing, there were no reasons for me not to join this big community! I'm happy to know/share your/my interests by joining Couchsurfing and getting chances to meet new nice people! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to six flags (where many roller coasters are) on the first week of my stay in California, even though I'm a person who is super afraid of scary rides! *_* But after all, it wasn't that bad than I expected...I still hate to ride roller coasters and that kind of scary things though x(

I used to be a tutor for students attending Japanese classes. So I can be your help if you want to know some Japanese ;)
