ABOUT

A Russian who has travelled extensively these past few years and shows few signs of slowing down. Have lived in NYC, Toronto, and Seoul.

PHILOSOPHY

Spiral out, keep going...be good and do good to the best of your ability and try to learn something new every day. If you can't help people at least don't hurt them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Too many to describe...I've surfed with lots of people, most of them before I found this site. Each experience has been positive...the adventure that spurred me getting a CouchSurfing account involved me getting robbed while backpacking in California and a kind soul taking me there, who ended up telling me about the website. I then grabbed a car in Vancouver (a car dealership needed it moved to Toronto) and kind souls housed me while I drove back across Canada from the West Coast...generous people gave me clothes, food, and money along the way so I could get back. I'm forever grateful for that epic, epic experience and am determined to give back to those who need a place to crash.

Interests

Concerts, sleep, food, kind people! Then everything else. I also love reading, computers, coffee, architecture and soccer. If you like those things then we will get along just fine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ingmar Bergman has some intense movies...Waltz With Bashir is great. City of God. Manufactured Landscapes. Mulholland Drive. The Leopard.
Music...Tool, The Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, A Tribe Called Quest, Aesop Rock, Avishai Cohen Trio...genre does not matter, but the music must have substance. Lately I have been into Drum 'N Bass & Psytrance.
Books...For Whom The Bell Tolls, 1984, Brave New World.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2007, my friend Greg and I climbed a little-known mountain in the Italian Alps in record time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't work too hard because it really starts to weigh you down as you get older. Keep busy but get enough rest when you need it.
