My wife and I are a travel-loving couple who appreciate the simplicity and cultural richness of hitchhiking/budget travel. I grew up in Alaska, USA and recently moved to California to teach at a Christian college. My wife is from Tasmania, Australia and is an elementary teacher. We love building new friendships, rock/ice climbing, hiking, and general exploring! I've used Trustroots in the past and have enjoyed it thoroughly. I find if I'm not hitchhiking or staying with locals it's too easy to go travel somewhere and just view the sights without meeting the people and properly discovering the local culture.
