About Me

ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Malachi and I’m really just some punk kid who’s trying to see the world as much as he can. I grew up in an extremely small town (pop. 12,000), so I’ve spent the last few years flying around the Western Hemisphere seeing/doing/tasting as much culture as I can.

After graduating from university, I left Mississippi behind and moved to Orlando, FL. However, it’s a bit too hot for my liking, so I’m always looking for a way to get up north to vacation (if you can believe that). I used to work for a software company as a video editor, so I find myself constantly filming as much as possible, even if it’s just with my phone.

Other than traveling, I fill my time playing video games, going to concerts, skateboarding, cooking, hanging with friends, and eating.

I’m looking forward to meeting you and hopefully sharing stories!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything from Bon Iver and Kanye West to JPEGmafia and Ben Howard. My music taste is all over the place, but right now I’m really into Ryan Leahan and The Brooks and The Bluffs.

I’m a big fan of Wes Anderson, so Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel are a couple of my favorite films. Alongside, Into the Spiderverse, Akira, Scott Pilgrim, The Irishman and a whole host of other movies.

I can’t say that I read a lot, but I’m currently trying to read my way through The House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I biked through Chicago at 3 in the morning without a GPS and somehow made it to our hotel.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, United Kingdom, Wales
