ABOUT ME

Most important of all as we are on a hosting platform: I really enjoy to host people at my place and I always try to give them what they could have at their own place. I want people to feel free as much as I like my guest to make me feel free. I like genuine and honest people able to see life from other perspective than their own or at least trying to do so. I make a lot of effort in order to create true connexions with people which means I listen (not only to the words) and I let people talk and express themselves respectfully, I expect the same from others. Meeting a new person is always a good pretext to discover ourself in a new perspective.

Who am I? Here’s a sketch. I’m a group solitary. Very curious. Imaginative and dreamer yet pragmatic in everyday life. Adventurous (less and less as I’m getting older..) Some people think I'm courageous (I guess we’re all courageous at something?) Quiet. Reliable. I'm constantly looking for a meaningful life and mostly try to follow my guts. I tend to learn more and more how to do things by myself because i have the strong feeling our modern lifestyle is fundamentally going in the wrong direction and that relying entirely on the industry isn't sustainable. I don't like to accumulate stuff and do my best to keep just what I need and to share with others needing it. My friends are very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them a lot. For me, freedom is trust and time.

Money is time. That’s why I will usually choose cheaper and less convenient / comfortable options. I’d rather spend 3 months travelling with a bit less comfort than 1 week with luxuries. With time ahead, there is no rush for expansive buses and there is no need for luxury because time is the only worthy luxury. Time to be with people I love, time to fill my brain with new knowledges, time to appreciate time and to contemplate it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Love to host when I have a proper place to do it but when I'm travelling, I mainly use Couchsurfing for networking, to make friends and socialize or to find useful local informations.

Interests

Bookbinding. Playing Go. Woodwork. Recently started to work with leather.

I am a music player with no sense of rythm but I like it as much as listening music. At times, i'm a picture taker. Obviously, i love travelling and enjoy any physical activities that involve many days like multi days hike or cycling. Loose my time in cafés isn't rare for me...!

Series: I try not to follow many because I tend to be insanely addicted to these...when I start following a serie, it usually means I'm bored and that I have to move my ass and be creative.

Books: I like the books that come to me, the free books that travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped from a plane. I hitchiked across Mexico and Canada... And many banal coincidences.. They are miracles to me.

I've seen people jumping on trains with just a soap bar in their pockets.

I've seen a spider constructing its net.
I've seen 3 black ants fighting 3 red ants.

I've seen poverty, I've seen wealth.

I've done a 10 days vipassana meditation course... one of the most difficult experience in my life..

Teach, Learn, Share

Most of all, I can share my presence. I can also teach languages (French, Spanish or English), photography, bookbinding, how to play Go, I can cook very good roquefort pasta!
