Hi, I'm Malaika!
I've been in the US since August 2017, I'll be in the US till June 2019. I'm trying to make the most of my time here by traveling on the weekends. I love meeting new people, learning new things and trying new foods. I love to travel and explore new places, I like to travel to the places that not everyone goes to, I also like to travel solo, I'm not sure why but I just do. My favorite way to travel is a roadtrip, preferably one where there is no plan. Just go.
I guess I can be kind of shy sometimes, but I do love a good conversation.
I'm very athletic, some of the sports/activities I like are: soccer, running, cycling, swimming and hiking.
I'm kind of a history buff, I enjoy visiting museums and learning about history.
I'm also a very outdoors person. On the weekends I like to visit parks and go on long hikes. My longest hike yet is a 60 mile hike in Luxembourg, it was amazing!
When I get back to the Netherlands I'm going to start university and study medicine! It's always been my dream to be a doctor.

I listen to all kinds of music, my favorites are country and dance. I love to read, I sometimes try my hand at writing but it's a work in progress haha. I like to watch movies and series, although I usually only do that to pass the time when I'm traveling somewhere. I don't really have the patience to sit still for a long time unless really necessary.

I think the amazing thing I've done so far is coming to live in the US for almost two years, I'd never been here before (never even flown before) but I knew it was my dream. So here I am :)

I can tell you everything you want to know about the Netherlands! It's a neat little country in Europe, on the north sea. Next to Germany and Belgium and across the canal from England.
