About Me

I've got a strong preference for hosting TA through hikers and bikepackers. I also like hosting people with similar hobbies and interests.

I think I’m an easy going and friendly dude. I’m interested in the physical world and the outdoors and I work as an ocean scientist. But really I’m interested in lots of things. I live in my house in Nelson with my cat and some flatmates and enjoy hosting people when I can. Especially f you’re hiking or biking across New Zealand - it would bring me joy to give you shelter, a warm shower, and access to laundry and WiFi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's nice to help people out for the sake of helping them. Hosting people adds some spontaneity to life.

I enjoy hearing about peoples lives back home and what sort of lifestyle they have back home. I like to hear about what I might enjoy in their home countries, and listening to their stories from travelling around New Zealand

Interests

In my spare time I like to go biking, hiking and activities that get me outdoors. I also like going to raves and gigs in the area I live in. Recently I’ve gotten into bikepacking and have done a few trips around New Zealand as well as a trip across British Columbia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all types of music but I listen to a lot of electronic music as well as country, and hip hop. Movies are hit or miss with me, I really enjoyed Dune. I also like to read but struggle these days with my attention span - I read a lot of dry material at work which doesn't help.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs, stories, travel advice, friendship.

I'm always happy to contribute food/beer/manual labour.

I'm quite good at maths if you have any homework you need doing ;)
