About Me

CURRENT MISSION

MBA graduate 2013.

ABOUT ME

I finished MBA last June in Global Management. I live with my BF in Lynnwood about 20 minute drive north of downtown Seattle.
We love to hike, bike, swim, tennis (3-3.5), shopping, window shopping and hanging out at the local coffee shops. Occasionally a bar or dance club with friends.

Summer of 2014 we traveled to Taiwan where we met up with friends. Took the high speed train to Kaohsiung. We rented scooters in fishing/beach town called Kenting. We visited Kenting National Park. Also, we stayed a day/night in Kaohsiung hitting local night market, clubs.

Summer of 2013 we hiked many popular trails throughout the Cascades. We have plans to do many hikes this summer with camping. We have a 4x4 truck that allows us to go deep. We are good at compass and map reading… so we feel comfortable going about anywhere.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace, love and travel. My MBA philosopy is "Learn, Earn and Return".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have home in Lynnwood, north of Seattle about 20 minutes.

Also, I would like to meet travelers for coffee/tea/drink too. My studies have been on Asia, and anyone from Asia is a big plus. I want to continue learning the culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted about a dozen people over last two years while living in the ID. Most have stayed a day to a few days. Couple have stayed a week and one stayed a couple weeks. The longterm stays have been more of friends of friends or friends.

I do not mind being your Seattle guide if I have the time. Many of my friends have come from Taiwan, Japan, L.A., NYC, and Mainland China.

I have travel short trips with my visiting friends to mountains and coast. We camped, hiked, biked and car camping. Car camping makes site seeing even cheaper.

Interests

I love to hike, play tennis, swim, bike, shopping.
I have taken friends hiking deep into the rain forest and mountains of Washington. I have enough camping equipement for 2. I have 2 bicycles, both 21 speeds. and I get around on a 750cc tour motorbike.

Music, Movies, and Books

Top 40 is on my MP3 along with some J-pop, K-pop and T-pop. I currently read MBA material, and my e-reader has books about Amazon, Cisco, and other study topics. I'm currently reading "Every Nation to Itself" by I. Bremmer, I have many others books in line, but my MBA studies takes most of my time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

too many to list... I grew up in the marshes and swamps of south, raced motocross as teenager, ski boat...
I was into cars when in high school, and was a rebel
in my small town. (ha-ha) A good rebel.

I really can't pick one!
I seen most of USA, been all states. I rented a room on Maui from a couple for summer of 2010. They had a huge home and I really enjoyed my low-budget summer vacation.

I have a bucket list that I started 8 years ago. Originally had 76 things listed, as of date I have done about 50, and hoping to add many more ideas and do many more things. Top of list is to hike, cities and back trails of Asia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many stories of working in the back country of USA and the very southern parts of LA, FL, TX.

One of my last vistors, (college student) shared so much about his high school days and family life in Sichuan, China. I am really imnpressed at the courage some of my guest have demostrated in their quest to explore the world.
I share the same exploror gene myself. I have embarked on many journeys. I have driven up, down across the USA few times. I love doing a 2 week road trip.
I am lucky to have friends from around the world.
I hope to make more as I move forward in my studies and travel.
