I am a critical care nurse with a great sense of adventure. I like to kayak, hike, cycle, anything outside, play with my dog, cook, watch movies, meet new people, and craft things like clothing, crochet and, knit. I am very clean, and a non smoker.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I traveled the country for 1/2 a year and met all sorts of couchsurfers while on the road. I was always amazed and astounded at how trusting and giving the hosts and friends were to me. CS is an wonderful network and I am excited to be a part of it. I also turned my 18 yr old brother on to the concept when we drove cross country together. I am excited to be able to now open my home to couchsurfers that are on the move.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

my experience is growing and i have stayed with multiple couchsurfers that have graciously taken me into their homes and made me feel incredibly comfortable and allowed me to feel more rested then i have ever felt at a hotel, not to mention, showing me around town and giving me the inside on the places i was visiting. a very cool idea.

Centres d'intérêt

I love going out dancing at clubs, contra dances, shag, swing, or learing new ones. I love to go out and eat, or cook and eat in. I enjoy exploring new places, and all the nooks and crannies, especially with someone who knows the cool spots. I have only been to Holland and Scotland so far. I have a deep interest in all things celtic and want to explore Ireland and Great Britain in detail one day soon. I am very interested in seeing all of Europe in fact, and I love talking to folks from different countries, they always have a very interesting world view that i haven't thought of before.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love to listen to music, and my tastes are varied. I currently love to listen to techno, dubstep, house, and trance are all cool. I like classic rock from a very early age, pop is ok, i try to keep up with what is going on in music. I love swing type music and rockabilly sometimes, i love the 80's and have a nostagia for my goth and industrial teenage years. Classical is cool, and bluegrass is good too. i just don't really like pop country or really nasty violent rap stuff. hip hop is great though. i like to hear most anything.
As for movies, i will watch just about anything. i love westerns lately, and thrillers. historical stuff rocks my world especially from the victorian era. i am recently into steampunk. I like to look at the clothes.
I don't have much time to read unfortunately.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I have seen babies being born, i have held the hand of dying people and helped people through life changing illness. i hope to see more amazing things in the process of the traveling that i have embarked on of late.
