Hola tú! I am Alejandra, or easier for the most of the people here "Ale". I am from the beautiful city of Bogota, Colombia, but I am currently living in Germany. I was for 2 months in Cologne and since October 2019 I live in Munich (in 2020 I ended up living four months in Uppsala, Sweden because of the pandemic)

As a student I did an exchange year in the "Techninal University of Munich" and lived in a “Bungalow” in the "Olympia Dorf", a student residence named after the Olympic Games of 1972, which took place in the Olympic Park of Munich. I love this park!

Regarding me... I think I might be one of the most curious person you will ever meet, I am also quite extroverted and active, so I am always looking to try new activities, to get new knowledge, to travel to new places. BUT PARTICULARLY I looveee: dancing bachata, doing karaoke, doing artistic stuff, learning new languages, tech nerdy stuff and swimming in rivers and lakes.

Currently, I am getting more and more engaged with world environmental problems and sustainability because I truly believe that in order to save our home, we need to act right now and change must start from myself.

Finally: Most of the time you will see me smiling, I tend to get easily happy with the simplest things: looking at the sky and the dancing clouds or feeling the grass under my feet.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

What I wrote back in 2019 when I first open couchsurfing:
“ I consider this year to be the best of my life, I have never been in Europe before and now that I finally made it, I want to enjoy every single second of my abroad experience.
I find it unbelievable how different is the world outside my country, I am fascinated with every city and culture I've got to go or meet.
In the middle of this, I discovered CouchSurfing, and so far I have done it only 5 times but all of them were great! I just love to get to know the place through its people and make friends all around the world.”

Update 2024:

I have not stayed with anyone for a while but in June 2023, I attended my first “Hangout event” in Prague and totally loved it, I met some cool people through Hangouts in Amsterdam in June 2023 and then in Dec 2023 I went to another event in Budapest.

September 2024: Madcrash in Madrid ! And I brought my sister and mom with me, for both a first and they loved it too.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Google this : "arepa colombiana". Is one of the most delicious and simplest food ever but I love it so much, so I am always carrying flour to prepare them so you guys can try them too and taste a little of my country.

I am also carrying with me a board game called "Parques", it is super fun, and we could have a great time with some "arepas" and games.

And I would for sure leave all the doors open so you guys can come and visit me in Germany or in Colombia
