About Me

ABOUT ME:

I am wacky and I love languages. I am very energetic, social, enthusiastic, a bit crazy, willing to try anything. I'm also very honest and open- I don't mind answering any questions that you will ask. Really, though.

Maybe you are unsatisfied by my profile-- I promise it's not because I am lazy! I just don't know what to write.

If this helps, here is a blog I keep sometimes: https://mjrobbana.wordpress.com/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Every time I haved couchsurfed has been a truly interesting experience. CS creates a sort of community, and I seem to always like people from this community. It's the slightly unconventional, the independent, the kind and the hospitable that CouchSurf- people who are trusting and open to new things. I love entering the worlds of so many people in so many places.

Interests

Psychology, political science, travel and different cultures, trying new things, sports, sunrises, yoga in both a physical and spiritual way, meditation, cooking! I'm one of those people that will try anything once.

Being outside. Hiking, kayaking, rock-climbing, biking. Sitting in a park. Climbing a tree. Watching the sunrise.

I LOVE FOOD. I love eating, I love cooking (especially baking), I love tasting different tastes. Runny egg yolks are my fave. I will eat pretty much anything and almost everything. Even grasshoppers, cockroaches, and worms!

People, to me, are infinitely interesting. I love listening to people, watching people, travelling and meeting different kinds of people, trying to figure people out. I studied Psychology and then fell in love with Political Science, the Psychology of countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Lion King, The Squid and the Whale, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Revolutionary Road, LOTRs, anything by Wes Anderson or with Gael Garcia Bernal.

I really love movies and once I start watching some, I often will do it for a couple days in a row, but then I get busy with other things and I don't make time for them so I end up with a HUGE disparity in the list of movies I'd like to watch vs. the ones I have seen!

Books: Too many! Most recently I was blown away by Disgrace (J.M. Coetzee), Nothing to Envy (Barbara Demick) and Man's Search for Meaning (Dr. Victor Frankl). Numbers in the Dark by Calvino, Lolita, Haruki Murakami, anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Music: I go through many phases, but am currently listening to a lot of Amiina while walking through the snow and Animal Collective, Panda Bear, Of Montreal, Grimes, Moses Sumney, St Vincent, Weaves.
