About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find inner balance and enjoy life as it is. Also, hopefully, find a job in my preferred specialty.

ABOUT ME

Open, friendly, helpful, creative, perfectionist, idealist.
I'm easy-going and when I travel I like to explore as much of the city I visit as possible, meaning you won't have to worry about me as I'll be off visiting museums, tourist attractions and planning the next part of the trip :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now I've mostly toured the world by staying with my distant relatives, friends and sometimes friends of those friends. It's been everything from living in the cellar to sleeping on the floor. I'm looking forward to broadening that experience, though!

Interests

Apart from being a medicine geek, I love history and art. I have a deeply rooted fascination in stories that relate to places, buildings and people. My memory is terrible but I try to accumulate as much as I can :)

I paint. I draw. I play harmonica (poorly). Long ago I used to play the piano and the guitar. I write stories. I read books by the dozen, everything from biographies to epic fantasy series that keep me up all night.
Oh, a month ago I discovered that I really enjoy hiking. Next summer I'm backpacking around the Polish mountains :)
My photos are usually crappy but I enjoy analogue cameras a lot and I found/bartered a couple old models recently.

Sometimes I also meet stray cats and find them new homes. One of them stayed with me and her name is Moria.

I've been also told that I'm a good cook. I'm not much into traditional Polish cuisine because it's very heavy and every dish should contain flour and float in fat but I can definitely cook something for you. I've perfected the recipe for chocolate-chip cookies and I can make a brownie in 15 minutes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't fill this because I could discuss different books and films and music for hours. My taste is diverse, let's leave it at that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attended an old-school rave in Bucharest with a bunch of people I met that week.
A different kind of amazing thing I've done was assisting in a hip replacement surgery.
Both count as ultra-awesome things in my resume :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about being a med student in Poland. A nice meal. Recommendations regarding a trip to Poland. One of my analogue cameras to play around with, you'll very likely take better photos than me :D

Denmark, England, France, Italy, Romania, Spain, United States
