About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To appreciate everyday and not take it for granted

ABOUT ME

An adventurous soul of sorts. I get the travel bug every couple of years, then other times I just want to stay home! I like to think of myself as open minded and easy to get along with, and I'm trying to be a responsible citizen of the earth!

PHILOSOPHY

Live for today, learn from yesterday, prepare for tomorrow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

There's so many to chose from! Books: The Alchemist, LAMB by Christopher Moore, A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry. Music nearly every kind (but I'm partial to music that makes me want to dance), I'm still learning to appreciate Free Jazz. Movies: There are many, but my all time favourite is The Sound of Music (and if you ever get the chance to go to the sing-a-long, do it!). La Grand Seduction (Seducing Dr.Lewis)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had the incredible experience to work at the Elephant Conservation center in Lampang Thailand when the center first started it's program. We went to the forest to bring *our* elephant back, and rode them without any harness! In Buenos Aires, my husband and I somehow managed to narrowly avoid getting caught in a major protest.
Seeing a Grizzly bear approx. 500 yards away from a black bear that was 200 yards away from an elk who was 25 yrd. away from a tourist taking its picture.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I'm new to the couch surfing experience, I don't know what kind of advice I can give. However, I have had bad house guests in the past, so I know what kind of person I don't want to be.
