About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am in the process of setting up a Social Enterprise that will help disadvantaged / marginalised young adults in Nepal.
A Social Enterprise is slightly different to a regular business in that it has to make a profit, but, it is driven by doing things for the good of the public rather than making people more affluent.
Working with NGO's, INGO's and charities in Nepal, we will provide English language courses and short term apprenticeships to young adults that are disadvantaged as a result of being:
- female
- HIV+
- lessabled / enabled
- Dalit
- Tibetan
- impoverished
- Transgender
- from an ethnic minority group
- a recovering addict
My hope is that this will act as a springboard onto a brighter future and that it gives them a chance in life that they may not have had otherwise.
If anyone is interested in getting involved, please let me know.
ABOUT ME
Eccentric, self-aware, compassionate, reliable, honest, trustworthy, sensitive and funny British fella, circa 1972.
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness comes not from having the best of everything but making the best of everything you have.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't read much.
I enjoy non-mainstream / world cinema and all music except for some Hip-Hop / Rap when it is derogatory or I can't understand what they are saying and Heavy Metal when I can't understand what they are saying.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I know it says one but I am incredibly proud of the following three things so.....
I saw the top of Everest from Kala Patthar in October 2012.
I cycled naked around the streets of central London in June 2012 (along with about 1,000 other people during the London Naked Bike Ride)
I swam with pink dolphins and caymen in the Amazon Basin in 2006.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy meeting and listening to all sorts of people, especially other travellers or people that simply have a story to tell.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My life experiences, interesting (if a little controversial in opinion sometimes) conversation, my ears (I love hearing about other peoples experiences), my cooking, and (if we get on really well )dark chocolate and red wine.
