ABOUT ME

This section will be a lot about traveling and living in other countries, just because I feel like that is such a big part of me because that is what has formed me so much.

I grew up in Ängelholm in the south of Sweden (Skåne) and studied at Lund University. Then I realized that I needed/wanted to see more of the world, so during a few years time I traveled/studied abroad quite a lot. At first I went on a long trip around in Asia and along the east coast of Australia. It was really great travelling by myself and meeting all those fellow travellers!
I then went to Canada and lived there for one year when I studied at the University of Guelph. I lived with a wonderful bunch of people and learned a lot about life. This is also when I first heard about Couchsurfing and started exploring this world. And yes, after a while I also found my significant other in this beautiful world, who I "brought" back to Sweden and now, 3 years later, is my husband.
After Canada I went to Mozambique to perform a field study for my Masters thesis. It was so interesting living in this culture, riding "chapas" to school, chatting with lovely people and eating really nice and spicy food.
After this I lived in Seattle with Kit for a couple of months and then we moved to Stockholm for his Masters Program, and I worked at a big brewery for a few years.
before I went back to school to study organic farming at a beautiful place on the island ր“land.
Now my husband Kit and I live in the countryside in Värmland, outside the town Arvika, with our chickens and bees. Here we want to grow a lot of our own food and enjoy life in the countryside.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to explore the world in a "sustainable" way, not having more than I need and be open to hear about other peoples' stories. Learning through sharing!

I have stayed with other people during my travels, and have also met and hosted a few people in Sweden.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with some really cool people. I have met some nice travelers and I have showed them around in southern Sweden and we had a few people staying with us so far in Stockholm.

兴趣

Hiking, nature, farming (organically), traveling, working out (i.e. yoga and running) reading, cooking, food, cross country skiing. Things I would love to do more of: horse back riding, scuba diving, rock climbing.
