Hey, I'm Malini, 36, female from Tilburg in the Netherlands. I work as a freelance journalist, most of my spare time is spend scuba diving (yes, you can do that in the Nederlands!) and playing tennis, squash.

Some more info on me? Well, let me think. Movies? Yes, definately. I like almost all movies Tim Burton and Johnny Depp ever made together, but especially Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and last but not least Alice in Wonderland. You will not find that many books in my house, except for all episodes of Harry Potter and all the books of the Hunger Games... That doesn't mean I don't read any serious stuff, but usually I stick to newspapers en e-books then.
Ow, and my guilty pleasure:-) I am a fan of Disney, the Muppets and some Sesame Street characters. You will find all kind of artefacts in my home, considering those series. Music? I listen to all kind of music like pop, jazz, soul, reggae, rock.

I travelled quite some countries in Europe, but also I have been to Egypt, Bonaire, Curacao, Suriname, India and Morocco. I can show people around in the city of Tilburg, keep them company while having a drink and let them stay overnight in my house when I am in Tilburg.

My couchsurfing experience is quite limited. I hosted some people from Colombia who were traveling around in Europe. I also hosted some international students in the past, while I was in Aegee, an international student association.

Meeting new people, learn from other cultures, host people who like to travel but can't afford a hotel of wont', because they love to hang out with locals.
