About Me

Soy Domi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel, learn, and see more of the world, but through normal people, their language(s), culture(s), as opposed to buying a simplified and commercialised idea of a place. Also, the budget!

Interests

In conversation I am very interested in people, society and culture, history, social issues... In practice the main things I do when I travel is to meet others and share experiences, cook, eat!, and learn languages. I love sharing languages and knowledge. I also like the arts, reading, film, music...

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention, really. What guides my interest in these things mostly is what they communicate, and I don't like Hollywood films. I think the author I enjoyed most through my life is Orwell. Yet also Camus, Laurie Lee, Jack Kerouac (when I was younger), William Burroughs, and nonfiction like Foucault, Chomsky... I love documentaries, especially more basic or "amateur" ones that reach so much, and I would love to make one some day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pendiente confirmación de incredibilidad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach languages, and probably more things that don't come to mind. I could talk forever about sociology, history and politics, among other things. I love to learn from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Language exchange, conversation, cooking, other practical things...

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Argentina, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
