About Me

I am a gregarious introvert who fell in love with traveling and exploring new places and cultures when I left home at 18. I love spending time outdoors, cooking and learning new recipes, reading, and trying things that take me out of my comfort zone.

After living in Denver, CO the last 3 years (Latin America before then with a 10 month roadtrip from Argentina to the US mixed in) I quit my job as a project manager working in human services and my partner and I bought a one-way flight to Nepal to spend the next year traveling Asia and Oceania. Couchsurfing has always been an incredible way to meet new people, stay with like minded people, and gain a locals perspective so we hope to utilize it as much as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2015 I backpacked through Europe and was exposed to the special community that is like-minded, curious, and welcoming travelers. As I continued traveling as an adult, couchsurfing became an incredible medium to meet and stay with folks in new cities, states, and countries. I am forever grateful for the couchsurfer in CA who took my friends and I in when we had nowhere else to stay for the night. The friend I made in Costa Rica as we taught each other English and Spanish respectively, and the countless others who have shown that being open to meeting new people can put you in touch with the most interesting and thoughtful folks. I have appreciated all the experiences I’ve had through couchsurfing and hope to have many more.

Interests

I love biking, hiking, camping, and laying in a hammock with a good book. I got big into indoor climbing and bouldering back in the US and would love to find opportunities to explore gyms and outdoor sites when possible. I adore food and use it as a means to better understand the place I’m in. I also really enjoy cooking and would love to make you a meal for hosting us or learn from you how to cook a dish you love.

My partner and I have a dream to one day open our own coffee shop, so always interested in checking out cool local coffee shops.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo but I’m an avid reader and will take any recommendation you have.

I have an eclectic taste in music rooted in growing up with my dad owning a cd/vinyl store. Blues, indie, rock, and jazz are some of my favorites. I love any opportunity to see live music when I can.

I don’t know if I could choose a favorite movie, but Everything Everywhere All at Once, Anatomy of a Fall, and Tar had me feeling things for very different reasons which I love about a movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a converted campervan with my partner and we drove with our dog from Argentina back to the US over the span of 10 months crossing through 13 countries along the way.
