Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are trying to live a simple lifestyle that allows us to live outside of the box and be exactly where we want to be.
ABOUT ME
Carrie and I quit our jobs, sold everything we owned and decided to take a few years to just experience. Our passion is all about community sustainability, sustainable agriculture and respect for this world and each other. We love the outdoors and try to spend our time being active.
We spent 14 months traveling, WWOOFing, couchsurfing and finally, hiking the Pacific Crest Trail in 2008. The whole thing!! 2,663.5 miles-it was the most amazing thing we've ever done. We are back into the swing of life and are working in Bellingham.
Update 2012: Malora is almost done with a Masters in Social Work and Carrie is building natural structures. We´ve spent the past two years getting some more education and we´re excited to be traveling again and meeting amazing folks who share the same passions!
Update 2016!!!! Malora is a bonafide social worker and on her way to becoming a therapist so watch out! Carrie is building in the building season and doing other ridiculous things on her off time. It has been a while since we have been available to couchsurf or host.
PHILOSOPHY
To be open; our minds and our lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently we try to couch surf every where we go. We have met many people through couch surfing. Now we have a couch and would love to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Those amazing hitch-hiking rides that turned into friends; a couch for the night, dinner out on the town or a place to relax for the weekend. We started couch surfing when we arrived in Italy in 2007. We have had many great experiences in Italy, Corsica and France. We have hosted amazing people coming thru our small North West town.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Edward Abbey, David James Duncan, John Steinbeck, Alice Walker, bell hooks, Cornell West.
A Language Older Than Words , Derrick Jensen. Everyone should read this and any other book of his.
We are lovers of music. Sometimes we even make our own.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We lived 3 months without a car or public transportation and relied solely on hitch-hiking (the generosity of others). We were completely successful.
