ABOUT ME

I am a 38 years old university teacher and social-ecological activist, working on social and environmental issues in Hungary.

Earlier on I was more involved in local environmental activism, but in the last 3 years I started to work with Roma children and I am extremely enthusiastic about it at the moment.

Otherwise I love travelling and hosting interesting people:) I could also write that I am nice, open etc. but that would be probably a bit of a wierd self-introduction, those positive things.

I love reading, I ran a marathon once in Firenze, and played football for decades - until my knee broke down.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to manage at least three times in my life: (1) Be nice to the people I love (family, wife, friends), (2) be a social activist influencing other peoples life positively, (3) and LIVE my life in a way that I experience as much of the world as I can.

Sometimes it is difficult to make good choices, and I often feel that there are to many trade-offs in life (life is too short), but I do my best:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted several people and realized that - although I started CS to have access to cheap accomodation - hosting is at least much fun as surfing. CS gave me the opportunity to get to know very uniqe, excellent people, my life would be really poorer without CS:)

Intereses

Reading, spending time with my wife, family, friend, forses and dogs, helping several poor families and children to be able to live a better life (if you want to help with that just let me know :) ), and working for the better.

Música, películas y libros

I mostly listen to Hungarian bands, but I also like The Doors, Nick Cave, Bob Marley, Metronomy etc.

Probably my most important hobby is reading. Beside Hungaroan authors (e.g. János Háy, László Krasznahorkai) I love Joseph Heller, Bohumil Hrabal, Gunter Grass, Mario Vargas Llosa, Kurt Vonnegut, Viktor Pelevin, Vladimir Nabokov, Milan Kundera, Orhan Pamuk, Shalman Rushdie - just to mention some authors whose works I read recently.

I also like good films - from Ingmar Bergman to Big Fish:)

Working in a familiy horse farm in Portugal with my girlfriend as a volunteer for a week in 2015.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I love to show people my hometown, Szeged, I love it, I was born here, a know it from the gipsy segregates to the office of the major:)

I love to have Hungarian wines with my surfers, and also introduce them some local foods, pubs etc. - whatever they are interested in.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

We moved to a farm recently, which is situated at Domaszék, 15 km from Szeged. You can hang out with us at the great plain of Hungary, spend time with our chicken, cat, dogs and horses :)
