About Me

I lived most of my life in Darmstadt, but I have travelled quite a bit and studied abroad in Virginia (US) for 1 year. I am rather shy in groups, but I would describe myself as very open for new things, experiences and people when I get to know them better. I love sports and I like to do sunrise hikes, even though I might hate myself for the first 5 minutes in the morning. People tend to notice that I am quite tall. I am carrying out a long-term study about the stability of different doorframes when hit with the forehead.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In Winter 2014, I couchsurfed for 3 weeks in Florida. It has been an amazing experience with many new inputs and one of the best vacations I have had so far.

Interests

I am really active, outdoorsy person, but I also like to relax with a good book. I have done some backpack trips in Norway, Sweden and Austria and I am planning more. I have been playing tennis and volleyball for years. I love good food and I am starting to get better in preparing it myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: A lot of different stuff... I used to play piano in a band and I believe that there is the right music for every mood.
SEEED, Arctic Monkeys, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Simon & Garfunkel, Django Django, Noah and The Whale, ...

Books: Quite a lot, from Historical stuff up to Philosophy and Psychology,
Most books from Ken Follet, Utopia, Die Känguru Chroniken, Richard David Precht, ...

Movies: I enjoy a good, thoughtful film in every genre except horror.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: How to juggle very mediocre with 3 balls.
Learn: I think you can learn a lot from most people, if you have enough trust to be open. I have a broad interest in many things, and I would be happy to share thoughts and views on what I have learned so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook something, I can definetly find some wine or beer if wanted:) I hope to create some good memories together.
