ABOUT ME

Hi! I was born and raised in Wilmore, Kentucky and currently live in Jacksonville, Florida! I love spending time with my family and am a fiend for meeting new people! CouchSurfing has been recently introduced to me by another Surfer, and I am super excited to use this as a better opportunity for me to travel more often! My friends would most likely describe me as friendly, outgoing, adventurous, and kind. I love everything about life, and enjoy my time making the most of this life I've been given! :)

Interests

In my spare time I love to adventure around the city of Jacksonville finding what I call my "secret spots". I enjoy exercising a lot and spending most of my time outside. I play the guitar and sing. I love to camp and hike, kayak and canoe, and swim! I believe I have been bored maybe two or three times- probably when I was a youngin... So this makes me very easily entertained, in a way that I can appreciate everything that is offered during my time! I attend the University of Florida, in Gainseville and am majoring in "Parks, Recreation, & Tourism" (mainly tourism MGMT). I volunteer often at the Second Harvest Food Bank here in Jacksonville and am always looking for opportunities to show a little love towards my community!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to listening to any kind of music I've never heard before. Music is always playing around me, and I'm often groovin to it as well no matter what it is!
Oh man I could go on forever about musicians I listen to, but I think you may get the point here.....
I also enjoy reading! I am kindof a bad reader though- meaning I get distracted easily.. I am currently reading: Annals of the Former World, by John McPhee, 1984 by George Orwell and The Glass House by, Jeanette Walls.
I am a nerd for textbooks, and enjoy learning anything my mind can comprehend! Especially anything about Earth and Space Science.
I don't watch television, and very rarely watch movies. But I will confess in my past I have watched some series on Netflix (hehe) i.e: Breaking Bad, The Office, Arrested Development.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite parts of my life SO FAR is when I went to Ireland and Scotland for a few weeks. Ireland has always caught my attention with its beauty and I day dream about visiting again almost every day! What an amazing opportunity! My trip to Ireland really stands out to me at the moment, and I KNOW that I am satisfied with every day of my life, because it is always fun! But during this moment writing this paragraph, it escapes my mind to think of specific moments! I really want to travel to Crater Lake and plan to circumnavigate it as well!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting those who I can learn from- meaning they can teach me something I do not know, or something I can learn more about. Anything to learn is interesting to someone, so I might as well try to learn it too!! If that makes any kind of sense let me know haha.
