ABOUT ME
Follow me on Twitter @malcolmsunny it's the best way to contact me these days. Or check out my blog malcolmsunny.com to see what I have been up to.
Born and bred in Singapore. I am a small town guy trapped in a big city.
Had my first break when I was 19 and couch surfed with a Thai friend in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi. Then I was bitten by the couch bug and found this a better way to know people and local culture.
I love cats and animals in general, so I am converting to vegan. I love to write and read different genre, enjoy swimming and cycling and work out at the gym and running once a while.
When I am free, I like to walk around the neighborhood feeding community cats, go to the park to fly a kite or twist balloons for kids.
PHILOSOPHY
"Yesterday is a dream and tomorrow only a vision but today well-lived will make every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host people and promote CS to my friends and other travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
What really amazing are the people I met through couchsurfing. There is a special kind of connection even if it's just a brief encounter.
I have hosted three U.S. Americans, one Australian, one German, one Vietnamese, one Chinese, and a Japanese. And have coachsurfed in Thailand and New Zealand.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee jumping off the Macau Sky Tower, the world's highest commercial jump. Skinny-dipping in the pool of The Ritz-Carlton hotel on a rainy day. Climbing Mt Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia. Attending a traditional Indian wedding in Bhuj that lasted for three days and traveling 15 hours per way via the Indian train.
Teach, Learn, Share
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." - Guatama Buddha
