ABOUT ME

Dear Coach surfers! We have just moved to New Zealand so we are starting to host from time to time here in Auckland!
We are a family of three and we like active way of living. We have different kind of hobbies, like traveling, geocaching, slalom skiing and skating in winter and we also like to try other interesting kind of sports.
I am working in Float Culture - a floating center in Auckland and if you are interested in floating, I can tell you a lot from my experience.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a very wide and deep theme and that will be hard to describe it in two or three sentences. :) But I like the way I am and I like to take care of the environment wherever I live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was reading a magazine and then I found an interesting topic about one Latvian girl who is couchsurfing already for some years and she has been to so many interesting places all over the world. That seemed very interesting for me as well, so I decided to join this group of people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have traveled a lot, but only in year 2009 we tried couchsurfing and I can say that we liked it very much.
We will never forget our first hosts in Italy (Andrea, Felixa, Marzio and Silvia) and Croatia (Jana). These people made us CS addicts. ;)

From November 2010 till February 2011 we traveled all around New Zealand for three months. In this period we stayed with 27 coachsurfing hosts and met lot of couchsurfers from different countries. We enjoyed this time very much and we hope to meet you someday again! :) If somebody is interested in, here is the complete list of CS we visited during our trip to NZ:

Interests

Personal hobbies for Marita are gardening, horse riding and making greeting cards. Marita likes flowers and plants very much and if you come to us on summer time, you will see our garden in bloom. When Marita have free time she is making greeting cards, especially on Christmas time and New Year.
Gints is interested in sports, especially adventure sports, orienteering, biking, running.
Ralf is eight years old and he likes to play games, ride a bike and do all other thing that are not boring. :)
We all like nature more than cities.

Movies we like: adventure, comedy, sometimes drama.
Music: pop, rock, instrumental and other.
Books: haven't read for some time new books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh, there are lot of amazing things we have done in our lifetime. We have climbed in mountains, I have flied with air balloon and dive in to the see. Oh yes and our wedding also was an exiting thing with celebration in big castle near the lake and hundred of guests and different kind of attractions. Yea, that was really great!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge about gardening things and greeting card making techniques. Also slalom skiing (if there will be a snow) and skating but if there is no snow, then we can go horse riding.
My husband - Gints knows some basic techniques of playing African drums.
