Overview
About Me
I was born and raised in Denmark, but since 2011 I have spent more time living abroad than in Denmark.
I am currently studying a Masters degree in Sustainability at The University of Nottingham. I love my degree, and I am quite a passionate nerd when it comes to sustainability, so don't get me started talking about issues in sustainability, unless you want to be bored to death :-D
I am, for some, annoyingly optimistic. It sounds like a cliché, probably is too, but I like to look at the brighter side of things and situations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So I haven't been so active on here. Been a member since 2011, but only had the chance to couchsurf once. I hope to do more couchsurfing this year, though!
But I think it's a great way to meet people 😊
Interests
I like to do most things as long as it includes great people, but my main interests are traveling, reading, hiking, doing yoga and playing soccer.
- yoga
- reading
- traveling
- socializing
- hiking
- soccer
Music, Movies, and Books
So these days I don't do too much leisure reading (privilege of being a postgrad, I guess), but my favorites so far are This Changes Everything by Naomi Klein and Paulo Cohello's Alchemist
I was brought up with Toto, Queen, Electric Light Orchestra and Alan Parson, but I like most genres; jazz, motown, indie, you name it. My taste in music is pretty broad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ok, so I may have to mention two.
1) The Nevis Jump in New Zealand (it was pretty awesome. Scary as beep, though)
2) Seattle Marathon (don't know why I would do such a thing to my poor legs, but I did)
Teach, Learn, Share
You should all know about the Danish concept of "hygge". It cannot be translated directly to English, but I'm sure Dr. Google would be able to come up with a good explanation of the concept :-)
All I can say is that Danish people LOVE to hygge! :-D
