About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn Russian and Italian fluently!

ABOUT ME

Hi! I love music, especially Latin, Brazilian Bossas, rock, jazz etc.

I work a regular job here on this tiny little island, and like to meet interesting people who like to share interesting stories and experiences.

Playing music is something I like. If you can play too, I have lots of instruments in my place, so singers, pianists, guitarists, drummers - whatever - you're all invited to my place!!!

I'm keen on BBQs, and like to entertain. I get on with really easy going people, who respect the fact that they are staying as a guest! I very much dislike people who take advantage of this.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to host and be hosted :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had little experience, but think its a fun idea. I've travelled a lot around the world, and appreciate cultures.

Interests

Music and learning Russian are two things I'm greatly interested in. I also am a keen salsa dancer :-D

Music, Movies, and Books

The sorts of books I read are usually non fiction, like Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris. I'm not a big novel person, although there are a number of novels that have really appealed to me including : "The Skook, by JP Millar", Books by Dan Brown and anything by Clive Barker.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to many parts of the world, but one incredible experience that will stay with me for a while was when I walked through the Judea desert in Israel, and - thinking there was nobody - magically, as if in a dream, some Bedouin children ran up to me seemingly from nowhere and offered to sell me some figurines. To this day I think I may have imagined it :-D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach salsa dancing and the basics of music theory. If you have some experience with playing music, I have lots of instruments here and we can play some music together. I would love to get help learning Russian.
