About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To get to the grand old age of 100 (taking the best route possible)

ABOUT ME

I like people who are a little bit different, have stories to tell & do the unexpected. I'm a proper country girl and love being outside & all things to do with it; biking, climbing, running, hiking, kayaking, camping. I hate sitting down for too long. My mum always says to me it's because I'm scared I'm missing something and yep, she's probably right!

I love to try new things even if I'm not sure because you never know . . . (at least there is a story to tell if it all goes wrong!) And some of the best times I've had have come from spontaneous moments of misjudgment.

I'm not a material girl & appreciate originality and imagination over expense and status. I also love to travel-anywhere. I'm fascinated by new people and my travels have led me to meet some weird and wonderful characters.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a bit like a pinball machine, you start at the beginning and you know you're headed towards the end. How you get there is partly down to luck but also down to you giving it a nudge it in the right direction!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted anyone yet (Not suprising since I live in rural England!) I am also fairly new to the being hosted but all of my experiences have been good. Lots of friends have come back with some brilliant stories and experiences so I thought I'd give it a go.

*picnics (bbq's in the summer and soups in the winter)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll give anything a try

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been so so so lucky in the things that I have done, I can't decide which ones to list.

Whilst travelling though, friends and I coined the term 'Ooh Ahh' for moments when your can't actually believe you're there and experiencing things and all you can say to describe it is either 'Ooh' or a contented 'Ahh'

** be careful not to use the two together at the risk of sounding like a Norfolk farmer!

Teach, Learn, Share

This is going to be a bit deep and meaningful so probably best to get yourself a tea and a few biscuits before proceeding . . .

Every single person I have ever met I have learned something from, whether it being something I could do better myself or something I'll try not to do. Sometimes people teach you things explicitly and other times it'll be a few years down the line before you realize what you've learnt from them. I like how life, in the end, does make sense.
