Music, Movies, and Books

I really love old time/bluegrass/folk/blues. I started learning the mandolin this past summer and it is safe to say I am in it for the long haul. Sing with me, I'll rock a harmony. I also play the spoonsAlso I pull out the Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone albums around the same time I reveal my secret love for glitter...Oh, and I am ALWAYS in the mood for Sam Cooke. But, I really do like all sorts of music. I love when someone shows me a song and I think "wow this is exactly what I wanted to hear right now but I didn't even know it"psychedelic music from Thailand? Awesome! Who knew?As for books, Joan Didion is a goddess. Shakespeare does a pretty damn good job too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I TA at an elementary school and a 6 year described to me what a metaphor was without knowing the term for it.Also ziplining above the Costa Rican Rain Forrest during a lightning storm.. pretty damn spectacular.and shooting a potato cannon over the rio grande
I guess that was more than one... But I don't think anyone should have to count their amazing experiences on one hand.
