I've got to break the heroic myth of America, and see the beauty of the world!

ABOUT ME

After my senior year of high school, I took it upon myself to change the way my I treat myself. So I worked off 100 pounds, gained a self of myself, and have carried that ambition for constant improvement into the future - which is where I am now. I've graduated from University with a degree in Political Science. From school I learned how to practice philosophy, how man has used government for good and for bad, and how the Earth has come into shape out of the vacuum of the cosmos.

Mostly importantly I've learned that life is not about what you know, but about you don't know. And the best route to find the unknown is through unknown people.

I'm now on the constant search for good people, outgoing personalities, and great places to find myself. I've learned that kindness carries across all cultures, and is the best way to handle any person - good or bad. I want to challenge myself and have fun along the way! While I may seem a bit heady, I try to make sure that I never take life too seriously, because I'll never get out of it alive!

Give me good people to meet, beautiful places to see, and a glass of wine to make sure I can feel it all!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to spread kindness to the peoples of the world, and allow them to come to my humble home in the States to experience it all again. Right now, I'm mostly a traveler, but I'd love to become a host in the future when I can do so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't surfed a couch yet, but I've met so many great people who have. I want to be a part of this great community of kind souls - and share the world with them!

Interests

Reading - a suitable mix of fiction, philosophy, and history.
Writing - personal memoirs and short stories.
Watching - I love people watching, and watch some TV when I can (Mad Men, Dexter, and the Daily Show are my favorites right now)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Right now, I'm more or less into radical documentaries and lectures. Micheal Parenti and Zeitgiest are at the top.
Music - one of the biggest parts of my life. I play the guitar (and sing) and love a handful of bands more than myself - Muse, Radiohead, Ben Folds Five, John Mayer Trio, Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Coldplay, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, NOFX, Wolfmother, and any new band you can show me!
